Very warm and comfortable. I usually wear size 8, but the reviews I read said these run a bit large, so I ordered size 7 and they fit fine. I like these because I can wear them outside, too.
I have been considering buying these slippers for a long time, and am glad I finally did. They are very comfortable. The fleece lining cushions my feet while the sole provides the support I like while walking on our hardwood floors. They do feel a little tight at first, as the company warns, but the fleece is settling quickly. I love them!
The last pair of house slippers I bought were purchased in Switzerland and I loved them. They were similar to these, except the sole was made of a thin layer of soft leather. So wlaking out my driveway in the morning, the smallest pebbles would feel like rocks when I stepped on them. So when I found a hole in the sole I decided it was time to part ways. I had seen this pair advertised by LL Bean for some time and decided to try them, primaruly because they met 2 requirements: sheep's wool lined and a sole that wouldnt make me feel like a princess on a pea every time I stepped outside my house. They fit the bill. Only comlaint: they run BIG. However, I was able to make them fit by tightening up the raw-hide laces and they are extremely comfortable. One word of caution: because the sheep's wool is so thick and fluffy in the back, the rear of my foot gets caught on the steps of the stairs going down. I almost lurched forward several times. Now I know to place my feet slightly sideways to avoid getting them caught.
Regarding the title.....I'm not necessarily disappointed in these slippers, but rather in everyone who makes slippers that completely ignore all of us who wear half sizes. So tired of having to choose between having overly cramped toes and having the slippers fall off my feet (or being forced to wear socks with them). Been wearing this pair for a few days....hoping they might stretch out enough to fit my feet, but am tending to think that instead I'll have to return them and go back to wearing thick socks instead.
