What a shame - a beautifully made boot but a terrible fit. Purchased an 8.5 Wide. It is certainly NOT wide in the forefoot area and much too wide in heel area. The length was more that adequate. I am usually a 9 in a boot or athletic shoe. Can't believe that in the design of the Wide that more room is not given in toe and forefoot area. Not only narrow across foot but also too shallow throughout the forefoot area. When am I ever going to find a hiking boot that fits!!

I purchased this boot 10 years ago to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Since then they've travelled the world with me, including hiking the Inca Trail. They are right out of the box comfortable . I've worn these for 12 - 14 hours a day and they have held up extrodinarily well. I wear these with a hiking sock and a liner sock. They are also good looking and I wear them in the winter to run errands. These boots are not inexpensive but you get what you pay for.
I had ordered these boots for my daughter, since she workd for UPS these are just perfect. Out of the box confort and she loved them. After two years she needs a new pair. I order these for her as long as they have them available.
