I ordered my regular size in black and they are much wider and longer than what I expected. They fit large even when wearing them with Cresta wool socks in the evening.
They also came with only 1 set of laces - black. The shoe still feels good and I hope that reordering it in smaller size will solve the fit problem.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I was so elated when I received my Crestas. I've had them for 7 years and have hiked plenty of muddy trails during my daily dog walks. Until I sized out of them, they have fit like a glove; now they're too short because my feet have lengthened because of a loose ligament problem. I can manage on level ground, but I can't be in denial any longer because I need to go down hill now and then. Since I am now an 11.5 narrow, I have no hope. I've tried writing to shoe companies to no avail. I wish these could be special ordered. I would order them in a heart beat because they're the best boots ever. I suspect there are other tall women out there with this problem.

These are serious hiking boots. I experence them as boots that are fit for walking in the moutains, like the trip around the Mont Blanc that I once took. They are really comfortable from the start, I walked in them for hours at a time during the first few weeks I had them without any problem.
I was very excited to find a hiking boot in a women's narrow. Unfortunately, these boots are anything but narrow. My feet swim in them. They are HUGE. Because of the stiffer leather and the lack of a free tongue I could not even lace them tighter. These boots are so much wider than any regular boot I have tried. They go back tomorrow. I'm very disappointed. If you have a wide foot they may work for you. The quality appears to be acceptable.
