These are the most comfortable outdoor use boots I have ever purchased. I have worn for two days in the mountains and no hint of discomfort or blisters. If you have a medium width foot do not be tempted to purchase a wide pair, they will be too wide.
I had been looking for a quality replacement for my old hikers which were falling apart. I found it in the Gor-Tex Cresta Hikers. These boots are extremely comfortable and look great. I was afraid the wide would be too wide, but not so, they are perfect! They are worth the price. Highly recommend!
I have worn these boots for over 5 years and they do indeed fit right out of the box, very little breaking in, great stability and traction and come in different widths. I even climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in them. But with all the hiking I do, and the aging process, I now need a half size larger. LLBean - please make these in an 11.5 and 12! I've lost the toe nails on my second toes and am now searching desperately for a larger Narrow boot with the same excellent qualities of this boot. They seem to be non-existent. I'm going to try the men's narrow version next.
