These boots are great!
PostedMarch 24, 2009
I have been looking for a pair of women's all leather hiking boots for several years. I went hiking the first time I took them out of the box. They fit like a glove and are very comfortable even after going all day long. They are very well made and I look forward to using them for many years.

GoreTex Hikers

Comfortable & tough! I wear these for work as a pool & grounds maintenance person in Florida. These boots keep my feet warm or relatively cool while providing the support I need since I'm on my feet all day. The price is high, but my last pair lasted 14 years while an off-brand only lasted 8 months! If these boots can take just 3 years of daily abuse they are well worth the cost!

Love These Boots!
PostedMarch 18, 2009
I have worn these boots for countless hikes and have never worn a more comfortable boot. I've been in mud and water right up to my boot tops and continued to walk with dry feet. I've worn these boots through moors, up mountains, and across fields. I've been wearing the same pair for nearly 10 years, and all I've done is put in a new pair of insoles and polish them once in a while. My husband also has a pair, and he's just now getting a second pair as we get ready to hike the Highlands in Scotland. I think I still have plenty of miles left in mine!

didn't love them

I ordered these for a trip we're taking to Alaska in September, for which above-ankle boots are recommended.
I wore them a couple months to work (in an office) before I cut the tags off, just to make sure they were comfortable.
A couple weeks ago we went to Big Bend National Park in TX, and, of course, I took these to break them in further. Ugh. In the heat of south TX, these were too heavy. They might be good for snow, but they're not ideal for hot-weather hiking. (It was only 70--80 degrees F.)
I'm sending them back and calling a fit expert to help me pick an appropriate all-weather pair.
