At 66 years old I have at least 50 years of pretty extensive hiking experience. I settled on the Cresta Boots several years ago as the most comfortable and reliable boot that I have ever worn. I am on my second pair and I am considering purchasing another pair to break in on day hikes while squeezing the last drop of life out of the old ones on multi-day excursions . I always carry a pack and these boots have carried me all over southern Utah, Phantom Ranch in the Big Ditch, and hundreds and hundreds of miles through out the Adirondack mountains. I clean them after every hike. That's every hike. I water proof lightly every 100 miles or so. They have been flawless but the soles are about worn out from all the miles. Still fit like a glove and are absolutely water proof. I wouldn't have it any other way !
These are the best hiking shoes I have ever owned. I have worn out 3 or 4 pairs of these shoes. I wear them every day walking my dogs multiple times in all kinds of weather. These boots wear well, fit great and are my favorite. They last a very long time; the last pair lasted over 3 years.
I bought there shoes for hiking and now wear them all the time. They are so comfortable I can walk all day at work and then go for a hike after work wearing the same shoes.
Beautiful, Quality constructed boots. For me, being a power walker, these boots, are much too heavy. Boot was too big, too wide, in relation to my shoe size.
