ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I bought a pair of these boots in brown 15+ years ago. They have been, and continue to be, the best fitting, most comfortable boot I have EVER worn. Right from the box they were very comfortable. I use them in all kinds of weather and they continue to give good service. I have just ordered another pair in black. My boots have been all over North America, as I ride my Harley. Best boots EVER!!

ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I have had my boots for close to 6 years now and still use them on a weekly basis. Outstanding quality for a reasonable price. Recommend Bean Bott guard for them.

ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I was just putting on my Cresta's this morning and realized that beyond the leather looking like I'd climbed Mt. Everest in them, they still look and feel like new especially the soles. Given that I bought them in the very early 90's, that's saying something. I have become convinced, it's impossible to to wear them out. I have never owned a pair of hiking boots that provided better support and more comfort than these.

ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, in need of break-in time, slightly heavy
Real craftsmen made these boots in Romania. They are pretty classic style with a few modern touches. The workmanship appears to be excellent. I have a narrow foot and the 9N fit me perfectly. The width is a bit snug, but there is plenty of room up front to wiggle my toes. Out of the box, they are pretty stiff and it took a few weeks to break them in properly. There is still a slight hot spot on one ankle.
Because of their heft and apparent durability, I think they will last me twenty years like my former un-named brand did.
My main criticism is the weight. I think they are manufactured more for durability than to save weight on your feet as you hike. That is the trade-off with these boots.
