I have had these boots for about six months now and I do love them. They are durable, have good ankle support and feel good for the first few miles. The only hang up is that after 3miles my left foot starts to hurt which I had not problem when I used other boots. Hurts right at the ball of the foot. This could be just my foot. That is why I give it a 3 stars. I am not sure if anyone else has had the same problem but I would still recommend to a friend.

My Vasque Breeze GTX developed a leak in the second season. I read the reviews and noticed it was a familiar complaint. Then I read the Cresta boot reviews and was really impressed! I was a little hesitant to order boots w/o trying them on, but I knew I could return them to LL Bean with no questions asked. I went to the shoe store and precisely measured my foot. I learned my foot is very narrow (AA) so I ordered the woman's narrow (AA). They are the best fit and so comfortable! Minimal break-in needed. They are warm for winter hiking and have used them frequently this month in the Adirondack High Peaks with Microspikes. Just received my Hillsound crampons from LL Bean today and looking forward to trying them this weekend.
