These are very high quality boots. I have been very happy with mine and have owned them over a year now. The soles are very nice and very easy to clean. I purchased the cloth ones and they really do help cool your feet. I used them this year during spring gobbler season and I walked many miles in rugged terrain and I can say that my feet never hurt and never blistered. I am also an avid backpacker and if you use these boots with the LL socks of the same name, you will not be disappointed.
These boots are well constructed and true to size. They are slightly heavy because of being all leather, but that's why they provide such great support and wear. I kept thinking I wanted to switch to a combination synthetic fabric & leather boot before an upcoming big hike, but I keep coming back to these since the fit is impeccable and they do the job so well. No break-in needed. They were comfortable from day one out of the box, and just feel more like home with each hike. Highly recommend.
strong boot, great leather and sole. my only gripe is the foot bed. It could use a bit of cushioning. If the fit wasn't as good as it is, to make up for this deficiency, I would send them back. The new Keen boot have much more padding and less likely to get leg fatigue. Oh the other reviewer is right, very creeky but should improve with 6 months of breaking in.
Love the fit, comfortable on long (15-20 mile) hikes - no blisters, and long wearing treads and uppers. Unfortunately, the gore-tex liners have failed and leak on every pair owned (3 to date), well before the boot appears to need to be replaced. Will be returning pair number 3 in exchange for number 4 shortly. (Thanks for the great policy Beans)
