Wow! For first time ever disappointed with a Bean product. Wore these boots 1-2 hours around the house for 10 days - terrible! Had blisters on top of toes, sides above ankles stiff with little padding. First ever return to Bean and really disappointed. Avid hiker with a lot of miles in a lot of boots and these were the worst ever!
This is my third pair of Cresta Hikers. My first were only partly leather, and the last two were all leather. I have some foot comfort and support issues, and these boots have provided comfort and durability for long hikes, including 192 miles across England from the Irish Sea to the North Sea last fall. The only time my feet got wet was the day we actually just waded through streams because of flooding, and the water came in over the top. Even on that day, my feet did not get cold or uncomfortable. The price has always seemed very reasonable compared to alternatives I considered.
