Haven't taken them out on the trail, yet. However, they are extremely comfortable out of the box and general walking around. Having narrow feet, it is hard to find a boot that fits right away. I usually go through several pairs before acquiescing to the closest to comfort. I was also a little wary about ordering on-line. These boots fit perfectly from the get go! The narrow size option is great for anyone who usually needs inserts or extra socks to fill up standard width boots. I am saving the final star for after hitting the dirt.
This is an exceptional product. First trip out of the box and the boots felt completely broken in. The leather is soft but durable. My ankles feel very secure in these boots. Hiked a rugged 9 mile trail along the AT and these boots made the trip very enjoyable.
I have worn these boots for about 8 years (2 pairs) and I cannot begin to describe the pleasure I have slipping these on. Easily one of the best multiday backpacking boots on the market, but a city slicker to boot. I wear these 365 to work (in a lab) and they are my goto hikers in all 4 seasons. The waterproofing exceeds expectations, and the breathability for a boot with a full leather upper is great. Even the laces last a long time and they are easy to tie on the move even if they break because of the accesible gromits up the ankle. Simply put these will outperform most boots that cost double the price. Like any boot, if it is not sized correctly it will not perform well or feel great. With the correct fit it will be amazing.
