I loved these boots. They are leather, look nice and are good balance between weight and protection. But they wont last. I have had a few pairs of these boots. I am limited because I need a narrow size and there are only few choices. My problem with these is just as the leather is hitting perfect comfort the sole falls off. The sole is just glued on. If you have ever had nice leather boots, you expect them to last a good long time. If you don't have a narrow foot get a better pair of boots. You will love them for a couple years but they wont last five years. Spend a few bucks more and get something with a stitched on sole and you can love them for 10 or 20 years.
I have owned these boots in a narrow, size 10, for over 6 years, I have worn them on numerous short hikes, around town in winter weather, and on two Coast-to-Coast walks of over 192 miles each across England. I am now contemplating a third Cost-to-Coast walk and wouldn't go without them. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and replace a pair of Vasques. Have kept my feet comfortable and dry in all conditions, some of which were very wet. Very highly recommend.
These boots so far have been good had them 3 months wear them everyday for work. They don't leak! Only reason I gave 4 star is they come with cheap insoles which are really thin and don't cushion. Once replaced with good insoles really comfortable
I have had the fabric version of this shoe for a couple years. Bought the leather version on sale 2 years ago and left them in the box till today. The fabric shoes still are in great shape, just wanted to try the new ones. Took the all leather shoes out of the box today, they were kind of stiff, then took a half hour break in walk. There is still some snow, went thru the woods with mud and rocks the shoes felt better in no time. More comfortable than the fabric version, no idea why. Waterproof, they breath well, very comfortable, sturdy, what else is there? If only Beans would bring back or add the black version of this shoe.
