I'm about to buy my THIRD pair of all leather cresta boots. They are perfect for wide feet like mine. These boots have summited 14K peaks in summer and winter, been to the top of every NY high peak more than once, and I've NEVER had a blister or foot bruising. They are reliably waterproof, comfortable, and have excellent grip. I couldn't imagine a better boot. Boots costing twice as much aren't as good as these. Simply the best for 13 years and counting.
The Gore-Tex Cresta Hiker boots brought a new expeience for me and my feet. Not only did they bring comfort, but also dependability and reliability. My first pair gave my feet a sense of protection from outside elements...like the front and rear tires of a car that ran over my feet as I was crossing the street...I was amazed that my feet were not crushed. And as for hiking in them,,,I had to get a second pair...so imagine.
I bought these boots right before hiking the John Muir trail in CA and they worked great. Not a single blister They were comfortable right out of the box and with a little mink oil, they're as water proof as my waders. They do need new insoles, but if they didn't they wouldn't be hiking boots, right? I would highly recommend these to anybody who wants to make sure their feet are in prime condition during their hiking trip.
