I wear these boots all the time and love them. They are great for your knees and back.You could not find a better boot. They are very comfortable on and off the trail.
I've had my Cresta Hikers for about 8 years now. They are still my favorite shoes. They are cool enough to wear in the summer ... and sturdy enough for at least a 30lb pack for winter backpacking. Soles have held up really well over the years. Best boots I've owned.
I have recently discovered that my arches are collapsing and that I now require a wide width boot. Finding an appropriate boot had proven to be less than easy until I purchased the Cresta Hikers. These boots provide ample width and room in the toe box, are out of the box comfortable, and are of a level of quality that is nearly impossible to find for the price. I cannot recommend these boots enough!!!!!
Imagine what the Beartooth Mountains can do to hiking boots. 2 weeks in a wild & beautiful place, a 30 minute drive to get a cell phone signal. My hiking boots had to be right. I ordered these a month early to break them in but there was really no need. Fit was snug & comfortable, ankle support excellent. Boots are heavy but comparable to others of the same quality. Did quite a bit of shopping before purchase, as usual I found LLBean the best value: high quality at the best price. If these boots wear out in my lifetime I will buy another pair.
