Only reason for the four stars is a missing button. I repaired opposed to sending it back. I have had a few of these classics. Always a great fit. The wool liner lays great over any under garment. This coat is a lot warmer than it looks!
I have had this coat for over 15 years. It has held up so well, it still looks new. It is comfortable - you can move easily and do whatever you need to do in it. The huge pockets are wonderful, you can put whatever you need to in them. It is plenty warm, I have been wearing it in frigid 0 - 5 degree temps this year, still warm. Its roomy enough to wear a hoodie under, if you want a little extra and a hood, great for those blizzardy days, but in the spring and fall, pop out the liner, and you have a light-weight coat. I have recently lost a whole lot of weight, so alas, my coat is getting too big. I think next year I will purchase another, because I don't want to go through winter without my field coat.This is my go-to coat for running errands, shoveling snow, winter hiking and birding, whatever. Would recommend to anyone.
Checked sizing chart. Got my usual size. Way too big. returned it no problem, got smaller size. It fits great. Nice Jacket. Warmer than I thought it would be.
