1rst let me just say Ive ordered similiar jackets from every other big competitor 4 my 6'1 235lb BF trying both XL & XXL sizing - all were returned mostly due to poor quality &/or sizing just didnt work out - either way 2 big or way 2 small. Should have spent the $$ & ordered from Bean from the get go! I ordered both XL & XXL in Stone color - the XXL is a perfect fit & doesnt hang like a big bag. The lining is great -not restricting so he doesnt feel or look like the staypuff marshmallow man yet warm. He likes placement of pockets although there is only 1 cellphone pocket w/no interior pockets however w/the button out lining, they can be tricky anyway. He loves the color & overall is satisfied with this jacket!
The style and quality of this coat are outstanding. It is very warm with the liner and perfect for a cool Fall day without it. The cut leaves room for a medium weight sweater without any restriction. It's been great in the car too. The only short-coming is that the color does not match the color in the catalog or the website. It is more tan/light brown that I expected.

I work outside 75% of the time and my last coat, like this one, lasted 10 years. Everything about it is perfect; weight, color, warmth, fit, durability... On really cold days, I wear a sweatshirt underneath the coat. If you plan to do that, buy up a size and roll up the sleeves.
