ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I am so glad that I bought this pair of shoes!!!! I was a little hesitant about buying shoes from a catalog since I have always purchased them in a store where I could try them on first (and then order from a catalog!). But since I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for and even though this pair was not exactly what I had in mind they were close so I ordered them. They fit FANTASTIC and were so comfortable I thought I had worn my houseslippers to work. Plus even with topstitching they did NOT make my feet look big! Best purchase I've made all year...if more colors were available I would buy another pair!
I purchased these shoes for work, since I am on my feet all day. After reading previous reviews I ordered the shoes in Wide width and I am glad I did, it is perfect. I also ordered a half size up per reviews and had to send back the first pair of shoes and ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. They are a very comfortable pair of shoes, I didn't have to break them in at all. I love the saddle color and they are well made. I think they will become my favorite pair of shoes; they go well with my work cloths and jeans. I'll definately be ordering another pair when these wear out...
Leather was nice, however the shoe lacked shape. It was very "boxy" and though it fit lengthwise it rode up on my heel when walking. I was very dissapointed and I must say it is the first thing I have ever returned to LLBean because I thought the quality did not live up to their standards.

I had a pair of these some years ago and I remembered them to be quite comfortable, so I ordered another pair. When I took them out of the box I was a little dismayed as to the quality of the leather: it felt a bit thin and stiff and I have problem feet (bunion on one foot) so I was hesitant to wear them. However, within an hour of wearing them they began to conform to my foot and the leather began to soften up; I was amazed at how my feet loved these shoes! I ordered my regular size (8-1/2) but went to a wide because of my bunion. I probably could have ordered an 8, and the width was perfect, but the larger size leaves room for thicker socks. I am totally happy with this purchase and wish all of my other shoes were this comfortable. Not the most stylish of shoes, but I'm past that, most of the time...
