Shoes are very well made and sturdy. Although I ordered them wide, the shoes are a little tight but I think they will stretch out and fit fine as I wear them.
I ordered 6 1/2 D and was surprised they felt too narrow. The toe box was very uncomfortable. I removed the cushioned insole and found them more true to size. I will be keeping them but recommend L.L. Bean manufacture them true to size after the insole is inserted.

A very nice sturdy shoe. Well constructed, runs a bit small. I usually wear 10 or 10.5 narrow and 11 medium is comfortable with socks. Insole is removable so you can substitute your own. Strong laces that won't fall apart.
