I purchased a small oval braided wool rug and it is just great. I've owned one of these many, many years ago and it lasted for several decades. I only changed it out because the decor changed. Anything made in North Carolina is always of the highest quality, particularly textiles. This is a beautiful, durable product.
I live in a rented apartment with kind of worn carpeting. I got the straw multi rug to cover it up, and I couldn't be happier. The rug makes the room look so nice, and it seems very durable. If you are trying to choose a color, I recommend the printed catalog pictures. It was a lot harder to see the real colors online. My rug is much prettier than the online photo.
When we moved overseas 12 years ago, I bought 3 small wool braided rugs to take with me and put in our home. They held up very well in the high traffic hallway. We've just returned to live in the USA and I've just bought another one, only a 6' round one. I love the color's that are offered and the quality is superb. If you like braided rugs, LL Bean's are the best, even though they are a bit more in cost...be assured you are getting good quality and well worth the extra money.
