I have 4 of the wool braided rugs -- different sizes, different colors. Two are fine -- the other 2 shed fuzzies daily and have loose threads sticking up, some inches long.
I first bought this rug in February 2009. In that time, it had come unsewn and frayed. I returned it (price increase!) and got the same one a couple days ago. Not happy as it is starting to come apart already! I do not have it in a high traffic area so I don't understand. If it comes apart like my first, I will not return/exchange it again.

wool braided rug

I have used this rug for 5 months now and I am disappointed that the stitching has broken on quite a long section of braid. I use this rug in the kitchen,however, it is not a high traffic area. The colors are gorgeous and the wool does not pill or create wool bunnies, however, I will return it as I am dissapointed that it is not staying together. I took a chance after reading how durable this rug was from a review that had a number of dogs. This would never prevent me from ordering a different rug as LL Bean is a terrific company.
I bought three of these rugs for my kitchen and I love the colors -Rose Moss - but I am very disappointed with the wool pilling. Every day there are little wooly balls around my floor, especially if I have company and there is a lot of traffic.
LL Bean products are always really good, so I am more than a little disappointed. I don't see any other reviews with this same complaint and I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
So far I haven't sent them back in hopes that this will stop. -- But it's been a few months.
