I bought this rug for my kitchen in a main traffic area, it has performed so well. The color is amazing and its so durable to spills, dirty feet or whatever comes my way. I just vacuum or spot clean and good as new. I am saving up to buy another one for under my table. I can't wait.
very disappointed in the durability for a LL bean distributed item. all though the wool is tightly braided, the braids are "sewn" together with one thin strand of thread. after only a few month these threads have come loose and the braids are quickly unravelling from one and other. I certainly would not recommend this rug for any kind of traffic area.

I have had this rug for 10 years. It is under my dining room table. It still looks new! It has exceptional durability. I have redecorated so I am going to give this one to my children and get one in a different color.
I've had two of these oval rugs for seven months now and am very pleased with them. They are sturdy and very good looking. I do agree with another reviewer that the colors look different in person vs on the screen. The first oval rug I bought was grass green, which online looked like shades of a soft, pretty green, but when it was delivered I was really surprised to see it was a crayola green, too bright, too green! L.L. Bean allowed me to exchange this rug for the chestnut color and it is very nice looking, especially on dark wood floors. It's pretty tough to beat L.L. Bean for quality and service! I don't think you can.
