I bought this rug three years ago and it's been just inside the front door all this time, getting heavy wear. I haven't had any problems with pilling, shedding or unraveling -- it's still a beautiful rug. I would definitely buy another or recommend to a friend.
I purchased this rug over 2 years ago, despite some negative reviews, because the size, shape and colors were just what I was looking for. I have waited to review it until I saw how it held up. I put it inside the house where we enter from the garage. This rug has held up beautifully. No pills, no separation of coils despite frequent wiping of feet and vacuuming up Santa Fe grit and dirt. I recommend this rug wholeheartedly.
It's amazing how one product can be viewed as so good by some buyers, and so bad by others. Maybe there is not consistent quality control by the company. I agree with others who have posted that the braided runners must have a rubber backing. They do slide around. But even more troublesome is that the yarns are fraying and coming up. We are two adults, no kids, no pets. The rugs don't get lots of traffic, and we wear slippers indoors. Yet, after 2 months of use, the yarns are popping up. I have cut them, but wonder how much longer I want to do that. I wanted so badly to have this product, made in the USA, be great. I am disappointed.

Beautiful rug! We bought this for our family room and couldn't be happier. Granted its only been in our house for a month, but we shall see if it stands the test of time. Regardless, with Bean's lifetime warranty, it will be replaced if it does not last. You can't argue with that.
