My first LLBEAN wool rug purchase was for a busy, busy (foot and paw traffic) living room. I ordered Chestnut and found that it hides absolutely everything-red dirt, loose debris from the fireplace, dog hairs, etc. I also found that all that debris vacuums up quite nicely. My two big dogs love to play on the wool rug and so far the rug has withstood many weeks of rough housing. The wool rug is comfortable enough to sit on and padded enough for sit ups. While the chestnut has beautiful shades of brown, it would do great in a room that is bright and full of light. My living room doesn't get that much light so it doesn't do the rug justice. Overall, I loved the rug so much that I purchased another LLBean wool rug : "Vintage Red." I am in love with the shades of red. This rug really pops and brightens up a dark room with dark furniture. Other minor colors in the rug are: a few blues, blacks, browns, greys, but the overall is color is red. Delivery was quick- rugs were covered extremely well with heavy duty plastic wrap - weather safe! No worries. I will be ordering more for my cabin.
I just recently purchased two rugs. Seedling for the living room and Bright Multi for my soon to be babie's nursery! I saw the bright multi at my Mom's and loved it! Not only did the rugs both arrive in under a week but they are absolutely perfect for both rooms. I would have one in every room of the house if possible!!!! Worth every penny, don't let the price sway you!!!
I am so impressed with LL Bean and these rugs. I started my search last August for kitchen rugs. I saw these rugs but thought the price was a little high so I ordered braided rugs from another company. After three sets bought and returned to the other company for color, quality etc. I decided to order these in the Chestnut color. I placed my order on line and they were delivered three days later and I am thrilled with them. They are just what I was looking for. Since I have only had them for a few days I can't comment on durability but will say they are very well made and look like they will last a long time. My only regret is I did not order them sooner and would have saved myself the aggravation of buying and having to return to the other company. We have oak floors and cabinets in our kitchen and the colors in the rugs look wonderful. Thank you LL Bean!!!
We have the Bright Multi in a 7x9 size in our upstairs family room / playroom over an oak wooden floor. We used the rug pad that Bean sells underneath and don't have any shifting problems. It's a really beautiful color. I'd say that it's not quite as orange as it looks in the picture, and is a lot prettier. It's truly a bright multi color. There are so many colors in there that it looks good with any sort of furniture or other decoration. My children use the room as a playroom and play on the carpet frequently and find it very comfortable. It cleans up amazingly well. We had an "imagine the worst" potty training accident on the rug, and my steam vacuum cleaned it up 100%. Still looks perfect after almost three years! It's reversible and we are still using the first side. I expect decades of use out of this beautiful rug.
