We ordered three of the Bean's Braided Wool Rugs (7'x9'; and 2 2'3"x4'). We love how these all wool rugs looked initially. Then the rugs began to fade. LLBean's excellent customer service took care of the problem and has replaced them. Thank you LLBean!
We purchased three of the Bean's Braided Bright Multi rugs (sizes 7x9, and two 2'3"x4'). These rugs are expensive but we trusted LLBean and expected them to last for many years. The rugs are only 4 years old now and they look like they are 15 yrs old! I had forgotten they were wool and thought the fading was because they were 'cotton'. This fading is NOT due to lack of care or UV damage. We live in the Pacific NW plus we are very careful with our home/furnishings. We are very disappointed in LLBean. We purchased these rugs with confidence due to LLBean quality guarantee.
About 2 1/2 years ago I bought one 7x9 braided oval rug and it is still in good shape. I liked it so well that I ended up buying 2 more oval braided rugs a couple of months later, another 7x9 and an 8x11. The smaller rugs are still usable but the larger rug started coming apart at a seam. Then after I had it professionally cleaned along with one of the 7x9 rugs, the 8x11 rug fell apart in another seam and it lost it's firmness and became so filmsy feeling that it wasn't the same rug at all. You might think it was due to the cleaning, but the other 7x9 rug cleaned beautifully. I am so disappointed that I will never buy another rug like it again from LLBean.
I bought the small oval multicolor braided rug for under my feet when sitting on my couch. It's a beautiful color and well made. I have two large wool braided rugs that I bought secondhand without tags or knowing where they're made, and they're both in great condition years after I bought them for next to nothing. This is my first braided new rug and LLBean did not disappoint.
