I gave this product 4 stars because the rugs are beautiful and LL Bean stands by their products. The product does need some improvement. We have 2 bright multi rugs in our front hall, a runner and a 3x5. Overall we really like them as do our guests. The color is perfect for us. The problem we have had is that the stitching comes loose. We returned the 3x5 after only a few months and now the second 3x5 is "falling apart." The braids on the runner are also separating after about 2 years. LL Bean is great and has advised us to return the rugs for replacement. No problem. We have other braided rugs throughout the house, all of them wool, some expensive and some relatively cheap. They all older than the LL Bean rugs, get much heavier traffic and cleaning. None of them have so much as a loose stitch. I wish LL Bean would tell Capel to do a better job with their "Super Seam®, a rugged, break-resistant polyester thread that ensures durability" because it is the only less than super thing about this product.
This rug is GREAT. I can't say enough good things about it. Along with my boat and tote, hands down the best things LLBean offers (in my opinion.) Totally classic. I got the honey multi for my hoome office with red and cream accents. Works perfect with the decor; not overpoweringly red and has pretty hints of light blue, cream, brown, camel, white, and black. Very sturdy, but feels really comfy under my feet. Thanks LLBean!
I purchased a braided rug from LL Bean a long time ago...it is great to see that the quality is still the same. This time, I purchased the 3X5 rug in bright multi. In person it is MUCH brighter than it appeared on my computer screen. The colors even look different. But that said, I really do like the vibrant colors and plan to keep it. It is a beautiful and well- constructed, Made in USA, rug.
This is the second rug of this kind that I have purchased. The first one has lasted for many, many years inspite of muddy boots and cat claws. I just bought this for a change of color. Colors are vibrant. Other members of my family also have this type of rug and are similarly happy with them.
