The color on the internet does not show it’s true beauty. It is a perfect match for our kitchen. It brightens up the hardwood pine floor and accents the very light cherry cabinets and sand color stone counter. My description of the colors in the rug is med. blue, light blue, burgundy, brown, light green, barn red, and the beige brightens up the rug under the lights.
We live with two dogs, and wanted a rug that would be durable, not terribly expensive, but still attractive. Thanks to LLBean coupons and some gift money, it cost next to nothing. The colors are even more pleasing in person -- tending more toward the primary color side of the spectrum -- red, orange, yellow, blue, green -- which goes with our informal, eclectic decor. This rug would also go well in a children's room or a playroom -- very cheerful. We purchased a braided wool rug from LLBean about 8 years ago that has stood the test of time well. Hopefully, this one will as well.
We purchased the large room-sized rug and two smaller 1/2 circle rugs for the dining room and kitchen areas... that was 16 years ago. Even with a very heavy oak table and chairs on the area rug, it has not worn. It is as beautiful as the day we bought it. We are replacing it now only because I want to change the color. No unraveling, no pulls in the yarns, nothing. Couldn't be happier with how well it has held up in such a high traffic area.
We have a cold floor by the water cooler in our house. Nothing is worse than frozen feet while you are filling up a glass of water. This runner is not as bright as pictured but it's even better as the colors blend just right on our oak floors. I'm in love. And have warm feet :)
