I have wanted a Hudson Bay blanket for many years. I only wish I had ordered one sooner. I plan to order another one very soon. It is perfect in every way.
I grew up with Hudson Bay point blankets, so, this blanket was bought to replace one that had frayed. That's why I do not give this blanket 5 stars. The edging of all hudson bays are not sewn. They are left to fray over time. Some like it, and some do not. Yes, this blanket will shed a bit, but, nothing to detract from the warmth. I've yet to turn my heat on in Maine at night because using this blanket is good to about 50 degrees. Yes. It's that warm. I bought the "King" size which is VERY generous in size. The Hudson Bay company( Made in England) is generous in it's King sizing. It fits my king size bed nicely with lots of drape over the sides( I wish the twin size did that, but, it comes up short). Overall, this blanket is good. It looks nice. I don't find it scratchy at all and I'm very picky.
This blanket is beautiful and the quality is off the charts. This blanket is very warm, a huge asset against winter in Wyoming! You won't be dissappointed in the craftmanship, quality or beauty of this blanket. Exactly the blanket we were looking for. Thanks L.L. Bean.
