Excellent Blanket
PostedNovember 7, 2011
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, long lasting
This is an excellent blanket. I bought one about 1990, and still have it. It is a bit heavy, but you can get used to it. It definitely keeps you warm on the coldest winter nights. The wool is not coarse as wool usually is. I am not knowledgeable about the properties of wool, but this blanket is "soft" not "coarse". That's the best way to put it. A bit pricey, but then again I have probably saved money over the last 20 years on blankets and I am sure I can get many more years out if it. I see that LL Bean has brought this blanket back after a long absence. I can recommend this blanket to anyone!!!

A tried & true classic
PostedOctober 26, 2010
ProsDurable, timeless
Got mine when I went to college (over 20 years ago) because winters in the Northeast can be brutal. Only regret is getting it in Twin (vs King) for use after college.
It's not cheap, but then considering how long I've had it, it seems like a bargain. It's like they say, "you get what you pay for".
It's heavy, but that is what makes it so comforting on a cold night. We sleep with the windows open for as long into the winter as we can so the weight keeps the covers on us and the cold air out.
Just another timeless classic from LL Bean and just another product that I own from them that will probably get handed down.
