traditional wool blanket

I have owned this blanket for 30 years, and it is still like new. A little "heavy" if you are used to down, but you can't beat the warmth.

Gorgeous Blanket Very Lofty!
PostedNovember 1, 2008
I have had this blanket for about 3 years. It is wool, so I always layer it on a sheet or other blankets. It breathes extremely well and cuts out that cold on winter nights! It is very cozy and extremely lofty and gorgeous. I collect Pendleton blankets and many others. This one surpasses them all!!

Heirloom Quality!
PostedOctober 6, 2008
In the past 15 years, I've purchased this blanket in every one of the color combinations, and I love and use them all. Of course my favorite is the candy stripe, but I use the bright red and black blanket very often, too. I've had them all dry-cleaned at a good cleaning business repeatedly, and they all still look great. Even though they're wool, they're not itchy or scratchy, and they look nice, used as bedspreads. I've been very satisfied with the use I'm getting from all the blankets, and I'll probably pass them down through the family, like my dad and grandmother did, with theirs. (I also have those. They were purchased through Bean back in the 20's and 40's. I used them as bedspreads for years, until I purchased my own blankets, and they still look great, since they're stored, clean, in blanket bags, with cedar blocks.) I think that's the main step toward keeping the blankets looking nice, and lasting, through the years. Always dry clean them after each season, then store them away in the zippered bags they came in, along with cedar balls or blocks. Also, store them away from sunlight and dust, and never put them in the washer!

Not worth the money

The blanket is certainly very warm but it is so itchy. You wouldn't want it to touch your skin.
