When I took it out of its packaging and put it on my bed I was very disappointed. There were deep marks where the folds were, humps and grooves. I tried to iron out the folds but was unable so I took it to my local dry cleaner. That helped a little but I can still see the folds.
I have been saving for quite awhile to purchase this blanket. The purchase was one of the best investments from LLBean that I have made in decades. This blanket is unbelievably warm! This has been a very cold winter and the warmth from this blanket was appreciated. It traps your body heat immediately and you benefit from the warmth within minutes. I'm sure this blanket will be passed down through the family. Thanks LLBean!
I have long wished for a Hudson Bay blanket. Probably due to the memories of using one while visiting both Maine and Vermont many years ago. Nostalgia is one thing, but sleeping comfortably on cold nights without overheating is simply amazing. My wife and I have very different internal thermostats, yet we are both comfortable under this one blanket. Its good looks are just a bonus. We believe it will outlast us and possibly the next generation as well.
This blanket is awesome. Reminds me of the blankets my mother use to have. I plan on buying the 6 point next month. The warmth is incredible. No one will use my blanket but me. If you want a real quality wool blanket and not an "impostor" buy this item. You will not be disappointed!
