"Classic with professional craftsmanship, styling and design. Quality is outstanding. I have purchased several aviator leather jackets with out wool and I have always been very pleased wearing my jacket. I love Golden and Cheasapeake bay retrievers from a pound in Saliabury Maryland."

"Jacket material and workmanship appears excellent. I normally wear a 36 in. sleeve and fit seemed slightly short. Jacket returned as I changed my mind on styling. Overall, jacket is excellent."

great jacket,

"My husband has been looking for a good winter pilot coat - this one is perfect! Fits a little large, we ordered large (his regular coat size) and it fits just a little baggy - I think that it is supposed to fit that way though, so it's comfortable... he's been flying all winter in this and loves how warm it is. Really good quality.. hope it lasts for years!!"

"This is a great jacket, I was looking for a quality G-1 jacket like my dad used to wear when he was in the Navy. I was going to buy a mil spec one until I saw this one on LLBEAN. I was a little worried at first that it wouldn't live up to my expectations or quality of the issue jacket. I was wrong! this jacket exceeded my expectation with the wool lining which originals don't have), overall quality of leather and stitching. I have worn it in sub freezing temps and stayed warm, but it regulates body temp nicely so I didn't overheat when it warmed up a little. Fits great, extremely comfortable."

Good, but large for skinny guys,

"I've always wanted a leather bomber jacket, and finally took the plunge and bought this one after reading the positive reviews.
Having already worn it in the middle of a heavy Michigan snowstorm, I was impressed at just how warm this jacket is - especially considering that it was 20 degress (10, if you factor in the windshield) outside. The wool lining does a great job insulating you from harsh winter weather.
Aesthetically, I am pleased with the overall construction and look. The quality of the leather and fur collar really gives it a nice, rugged WWII look that will never go out of style.
However, I deducted one star due to some minor annoyances. Being on the skinny side, the sleeves and back had too much material for my build, making the jacket look bulgy on me. Luckily, a trip to a local tailor fixed that problem, but gave me the impression L.L. Bean designed these with stockier guys in mind.
Also, I felt that the cuffs and waistband were too tight. For the latter, it can cause the jacket to ride up, which can be slightly uncomfortable.
Aside from those minor quibbles, I'm really pleased with the jacket overall. It's warm in inclement weather, made of quality materials, and looks good. Just keep in mind that you might have to get it altered."

Excellent bomber jacket,

"The LL Bean Flying Tiger Jacket with wool insulation is outstanding. The overall quality is excellent. I have worn this jacket in cold, windy weather and it's very warm and comfortable. I am 6'4" and the tall size fits well and is very comfortable. The sizing is accurate, so use your chest size when figuring size and you will get a good fit. Highly recommended."
