Had these for about a month, now. I ordered 4 in white. They were fairly easy to assemble by one person (I did one; hubby came home and did the other 3). I like the quality of the chair - solid wood, and the paint/finish looks good. I hope they last a long time. We plan on buying covers for them sometime soon and storing them in the basement over the winter months.
One thing that concerned me was the reviewers who wrote that they were very small. They are the size of a normal Adirondack chair. I compared the measurements with other Adirondack chairs for sale online, including the other ones that LL Bean sells (vinyl), and these dimensions were slightly larger than all others.
I purchased 8 of these seemingly wonderful chairs (reminded me of being a camper in Maine as a child by the lake). Half of them have done very well and the others are falling apart and the paints peeling. The screws are coming loose and it has become very rickety sad to say. I am actually sending one back because it is in such bad shape. Not typical of the high quality LL Bean products :(
We bought one Adirondack chair and were so pleased with the convenience and comfort we now have four chairs. Well constructed and easy to fold up. The finish is very smooth and we hope it will last a long time. Comfortable and nice wide arms.
Received 2 white Adirondack chairs recently. Had read previous reviews about assembly and hardware, but found these very easy to put together and everything seems to work as it should. The chairs look great, seem very sturdy, and of course, they fold for storage. The pins that lock the chair might be more secure but a rubber band over the inner part of the pin will prevent them from sliding out when moving the chair around.
