I bought two chairs and side table several years ago and continue to be surprised and disappointed they have not weathered as I expected since from LL Bean. The wood has split on the arm rests and looks old and worn out, almost like old barn wood. However, they are a good size and very comfortable. I do give them some slack since they did come from LL Bean. Doesn't deter me from being a loyal Bean shopper.
We bought three of the red chairs a few years ago expecting them to last several years (especially for the price we paid). One chair fell apart last summer and another fell apart this year. The actual wood rotted. We will be lucky if the third chair lasts the entire summer. The chairs were only outside from May until late October so weather was not an issue. We were very, very disappointed in these chairs.
