I'm almost very happy with my new adirondack chairs. I got them 2 months ago. They directions to put them together were easy and they looked great. They went to live on my patio and I love to use them. However, in 2 months, the natural finish is totally gone. They look like they've weathered years of outdoor wear. I'm extremely disappointed that I'll apparently have to refinish my chairs every 2 months if I want them to look nice and stay protected from the weather.

We bought our first Adirondack from LLBean about eleven years ago. It just recently fell apart after spending every season outdoors in southern Florida (lots of rain, humidity and sunshine). We loved that chair and were sorry to see it taken to the trash pile but, after looking at different sites online, decided to purchase another from Beans. The mango color we had originally bought was no longer available so we got it in red. It arrived less than a week after ordering and was put together in a few minutes. I expect it to last as long as the first one. This is a great product at a great price!
This chair is really small. It feels almost like a child's chair. Which is weird since Adirondack chairs usually (and are supposed to?) feel big. I'm only 5'2" and my head reaches the very top of the back. I'm not obese and the width of the chair feels a little snug. Also, the arm rests seem low. To the point that I keep looking at it and the assembly directions to see if I messed up somehow and the chair I've got is maybe one-third smaller than it should be. Unfotunately, I did put together properly...
Still, a good looking chair (red). And good customer service as usual. I ordered two chairs. Assembly was ok, I did it without another person to help and it was fine. Except that the back piece of one of the chairs was totally mis-aligned and impossible to use. The folks on the phone at at Bean were awesome and another piece is allegedly on its way to me.

we bought two of these chairs in red for my in-laws for their anniversary. They were fairly easy to assemble and the great feature is the chairs fold to ease storage for the winter. My in-laws love these chairs. They are really comfortable, quite attractive and easy to fold. Thanks LL Bean!!
