We bought these 3 years ago. They stood up well the first year and looked great. Stored inside over the winter - we get a lot of snow where we live. Subsequent years, the hardrware rusted on out deck, the wood started to rot. Not a good long term value. We are replacing this year with the all weather variety and hope for better luck.
I love LL Bean and I bought 4 of these chairs and 2 side tables 3 seasons ago. After the first year they began falling apart--wood rotted, the many bolts constantly came loose and the red paint faded to a dusty pinkish color where it didn't chip off. Each year I had to spend a day "rehabbing" them and bought longer screws to reach better into rotted wood. I had purchased other adirondacks locally and painted them myself, and those have lasted 10 years and counting. The reason I bought these was the folding aspect, but they still take up so much space it's not worth it. Now I have to replace them alll before the 4th year--not a good value in my book. I would NOT recommend these to anyone. Sorry.

it was a little tricky to put together, and I pinched my finger when folding it up! Also, it squeaks a bit when I sit down, and the white footstool is a different shade of white.
