What's with LLBean's sizing? All chest/waist/sweep sizes seem to be 4 to 6 inches larger than you'd expect from the stated size, and I *know* I take a tall, with regards to every other off-the-rack piece of clothing I've bought, but I'd need to be 2 to 4 inches taller to properly fill this jacket. Otherwise it seems well constructed, but it's too big!
This blazer is perfect for casual spring/summer wear. Sleeves were a little long, but an easy alteration. Great item for a very picky, hates-to-shop spouse!
I wanted a blazer that could dress up a pair of jeans, if the ocaission called for it. The availability and the sale price sweetened and clinched the deal! I am so thankful that I read the customer reviews before ordering. My suit coat is a 48R, but I ordered this blazer in a 46R, based on the common review thread that it ran larger than your normal size. It arrived 2 days ago, and the reviews were right on, including the fact that the sleeve length was that for a "tall" fit. I figure with the money I saved on the sale, I can get the sleeves tailored and still make out. Also, remember that this blazer is unlined; that more than likely has a great deal to account for the size difference. Good hunting!
