I read the recommendations and took a gamble on a different size. It was the correct move. I am normally a full 44 regular, with a "V" shaped build. I purchased the 42 short after reading the reviews and calling customer service. It was as close to perfect as possible. Customer service was very nice, but said they did not have an indicator that anything was not normal with the product. If you get your normal size, it will definitely be too big. This is a nice jacket but it is very casual. It looks like a pair of khaki pants made into a jacket. From the pictures I expected it to be more like the other blazers. It is still a great jacket.
My husband saw this jacket in a recent catalog and had to have it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the photo. Color was faded and sizing was way too large. Needless to say we returned it. Most of our purchases from LL Bean have been successful so we will definitely buy again.
Great fit. Sleeves are long enough as most things are not. My shirts have sleeve lengths of 35-36", this is perfect (bought a 46R). The jacket is perfect for "Casual Fridays" and the night out.
I'll have to send this one back. I wear a 42R blazer, and this one swamps me, with sleeves that are at least an inch too long. I'll try a size smaller and report the experience.
