It is oversized! I have been buying one, wearing it out, and buying a new one for years. It is always a size or two too large, with the sleeves ... well, think "Dopey," of Seven Dwarves, Inc., and you'll get the idea. So I now order a Regular instead of long, and probably should do a 44 instead of 46 - but I like the floppy look. So to sum up: an excellent value, just order a size or two smaller and a Reg., if you are a Tall.
I really love shopping with LL Bean but when it came to this particular item it looked great on the internet, but, when I got it home the "cut" was bad. I don't know how much it would have cost to make it fit so I returned it. The material is great. I wish it fit. If it did fit it would be a good buy.
Great fit and feel for a casual summer day in the hot humid Ohio Valley. Add the linen slacks, a cool bold stripped cotton shirt, a Panama hat and you are set for your 45th high school reunion. Throw it on over a polo shirt and classic fit jeans and go antiquing.
i purchased another one of these jackets a few years ago. i love it. wear it all the time. my family bought a new one for father's day. supposedly same size, different color. but the sizing was off. the arms were much longer then my other one, as was the whole jacket. the jacket is supposed to be a short but it wasn't the same short dimensions as the previous jacket. i'm disappointed.
