I am glad tha I read the reviews of this article. I ordered the jacket one size smaller than I usually take and it fit perfectly. Although with my short arms I needed to have the sleeves taken up about 1 inch. It is not something I would wear to a formal dinner, but for those occasions when you need a coat during the Spring, Summer and Fall, it is great. Aslo you can throw in the back of the car, and put it on, wrinkle-free.
Perfect for casual friday at work followed by a night on the town. I bought the Olive and liked it so much I recently purchased the navy. Casual blazers generally cannot be tailored, so the option for a short size gives customers like me a much better fit.
After reading all of the reviews of this jacket, I ordered it one size smaller than my husband's normal sport jacket size. Surprise - it was too small across the shoulders and the arms were a bit too short. However the torso-area was generously sized, so if you have a little bit bit of a pot belly, you should be fine :-). I returned it / reordered his normal size, and that was a better fit (although a bit loose in the body). I suspect that the folks who commented on the variation from jacket to jcket, within the same size, may have something there.
My husband LOVES the jacket and intends to wear it frequently with jeans, navy khakis, etc. It's very well-made and the fabric is substantial. However, our one concern is that the care instructions say "do not dry clean - we're hoping that if it is washed, it does not end up feeling flimsy or limp afterwards.
I bought the 42S. After some debate with myself on sizing, I decided to follow the advice of many of the reviewers to go smaller. Excellent Advice! The sleeves were 2" too long for me, but after the alteration, the blazer was a perfect fit. The classic two button style is right on. It is exactly what I needed to fill the void in my wardrobe for a casual blazer ...
