"I personally would never buy a bed frame online, but I purchased this cottage iron bed with the assurance that it would be much sturdier than any merchandise I had looked at in local furniture stores. I am very pleased to be using this in my guestroom. The headboard and footboard are of heavy quality and not flimsy. I can always count on llbean to come through with flying colors to return merchandise if not 100% satisfied and this would be no exception. Never in a million years, would I dream of sending this bed frame back because of cheap quality (upon opening it for inspection), it actually exceeded my expectations. The only negative comment, was that I tried to purchase just the queen size headboard without the footboard and it could not be purchased in queen size, only twin size with just a headboard."

"We love this bed. It is exactly what we hoped for. It is quite sturdy and was very easy to assemble. We are using it in our guest room and it is lovely. We bought the dust ruffle with the crochet trim and the cute quilt with the ball fringe. It is a very inviting spot for guests and our cat seems to be enjoying it as well! We looked around locally and could not find anything of this quality at all. We will use this bed for a very long time."

"I never would have bought this bed just from the catalogue or the website. But I happened to be in Freeport in the summer and saw it in the new LLBean Home store and thought it was gorgeous. Ordered it in the white for my daughter. It is really beautiful and rock solid - no flimsy metal. It put together easily and will be a timeless classic long after the kids are grown. It's elegant, pretty, strong. And you can easily tuck the covers in at the foot by the bowed end. We are absolutely delighted. Good job, LL Bean."

"I ordered two of these full size beds to put side by side in a medium size bedroom. I ordered them, because of their compact width. They look great and fit perfectly into the space I had for them. And now I know my guests will sleep comfortably in a full size bed rather than twin size. I am very pleased with the sturdiness of the bed. The finish is very nice -- not shiny or gloss, but a nice matte bronze finish. Very classic. They will never go out of style. Thanks LLBEAN."

"We've had the queen size of this bed for for many years -- I'm thinking 12 years. When one of the ball knobs sheared off about 5 years ago, Bean sent a new one right away. But about 2 years ago the bed started to separate so that the metal rails sag. And this morning they all popped out entirely. I'd still recommend this bed to others though. It's good looking and lasted a long time. Warning: you will develop the bad habit of draping your clothing on the bottom rail."

"I was a bit nervous ordering a king size bed frame from a catalogue that I couldn't see and touch. When we got it home there was a small problem with the support frame, LLBean was very helpful at correcting the problem as soon as possible. The bed itself is BEAUTIFUL!! Everytime I walk in the room it makes me happy! It is sturdy and well made...I put it together myself one evening! I will definitely consider ordering from them in the future!"

"I purchased this bed in black 8+ years ago. I love it because it has a classic, timeless look to it, and it fits in well with many different design/color schemes. I also love it because as a stomach sleeper, I can rest my feet off the bottom of the mattress and not hit the footrails. The bed is exceptionally well made - no sqeaks, nothing loose - and it looks every bit as good today as when it was new. That's in part thanks to LLBean's wonderful customer service. The finish once got damaged during a move to my current home, and LLBean sent me matching touch-up paint at no charge. Thanks, LLBean!"

"It's always a little bit of a risk to order something so large online. This item came in three boxes, but was well-packed. We could not locate the instructions for assembly, until the very end and by then we'd figured it out.
It's solid, well-made, easy to assemble and it looks just great. I'd recommend this to anyone and we are pleased as can be."
