This is an excellent bed. Made from iron and is very sturdy. Excellent support at the base. Gives my bedroom a taste of country style with much of what I remember when I was much younger. I purchased originally two beds but have since decided to have one in each room. No where could I find this level of quality and beauty at any other furniture store. This bed is truly a classic that will last for me and my family a very long time.
the beds were certainly a great value, but placed in the room they would be, they were just too tight--also, because the room was quite small, there was very little room to go around the bed--therefore when you entered the room the black beds shouted out at you, especially against a yellow wall
I ordered this bed in king size last week. It was shipped and delivered promptly. Assembly was simple and straightforward. I must say that for $700.00 the quality that I expect is just not there. The headboard is very wobbly. The upright posts of the headboard are made of very thin walled tubing and and are actually two pieces mated together. The footboard mounting holes are too high up on the tubing. When mated to the frame the foot pads at the bottom of the bed no longer touch the floor. L.L. Bean has never disappointed in the past, but this product is just not worth the price.
