Being small and petite it is difficult to find a pair of jeans that fits both snugly around the waist and throughout the hip area. The petite size 4 is a perfect fit for me. Even the length does not require alteration.
I usually wear a size 12 pant. I ordered a size 14 in this jean figuring they will shrink. I could hardly button the jeans. The jean fabric and color is beautiful.
I'm so happy to have found 100% cotton jeans that fit. I am 5'2, 100lbs and purchased the 4P (faded color). Waist is perfect, not at all tight. Yes, they are a bit roomy in the hip area, but I prefer a little extra fabric rather than the skin tight/spandex jeans that fall down your backside. It's getting very difficult to find stretch-free fabrics, so I appreciate that LLBean is listening to their customers. If you're missing your old-fashioned 501's, try these.
