ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, perfect fit
I have always worn Beans' Double L jeans and feel they offer the best fit for me. I mistakenly ordered some other Beans' jeans that were on sale and immediately returned them because the fabric was too thin and the fit was very baggy. I went back to the website and found the traditional fit. They are just perfect and the quality is what I have come to expect from Beans. I am once again happily wearing my Bean jeans! Please never change these jeans or your traditional khakis!
I have an hourglass shape and had to go up one size in the traditional syling. These jeans run on the small size for me at least. They remind me of my old button flys (miss the button fly) which are not made anymore in the style I have for women. I have been searching for a higher waist in jeans b/c I am a person who gets huge gaps in the waistband. All I ever see in stores are low waisted pants which in my opinion don't look good on most people. Appreciate petite lengths. Could LL Bean consider a bleached jean color?
I love Bean's jeans, however this "classic" fit jeans, I find are too wide in the hips/legs. The older ones I have are not that relaxed in those areas. I still kept them, however having to take up in that area. I love the cotton feel and wear of these jeans. And they are true to size, except the relaxed area..
I am 5'3", 139 lb, highwaisted & a deep rise. Moderately curvy: hips are proverbial 40", waist 29", thighs in proportion but NOT bulging. Active so don't wear skintight, like to be comfortable but also to look nice; wear jeans for work and play. Used to wear Double L Relaxed, but these wear very baggy around the thighs; went to Double L Natural & cut was an improvement for me over the Relaxed, but still had more fabric around the thigh than looks neat or nice by end of day. Decided to try Original/ Traditional in Misses size 12 reg. Waist is exactly right, not too tight but no gap, sits at bellybutton; rise looks & feels fitted but NOT sausage tight and doesn't climb where it shouldn't go! A tad looser around the thigh/upper leg than I'd hoped for, but 2" less than the Natural cut & a way smoother line from hip to ankle viewed from behind. Like the straighter leg, too. Planning to order the rest of the colors.
