I love LLBean jeans...but, the traditional fit was too "tight" a fit for my (usual) size 10. Opted to exchange for the relaxed fit and am much happier with those. I have decided that I can no longer wear traditional unless I opt for the next larger size. Also discovered that the "Tall" length is too long for my 5'8" height. The "Med. Tall" length offered is PERFECT for me. If you are looking for jeans, this is the place to find them. The exchange process was a breeze!
I need classic fit (sits at the waist) black jeans with tapered legs. I can't find this combination in the most recent catalog. The straight legs are very big in my size and not flattering.
Buying jeans without trying them on is always an iffy proposition, but I'm glad I did! I love the medium heavy weight of the denim, the pockets are extra deep, and most important these give me the extra room I need through the hips and thighs so I can comfortably sit for hours at my desk, or work in my garden. A little baggy in the lower rear, but this makes these more comfortable for me when bending and kneeling out int the garden. (I wanted real jeans I could work in, not skin tight fashion jeans.) I was so happy with the first pair I immediately ordered two more pairs in different colors - the fit and weight of the denim were identical, so I'm thrilled. (And the price is incredible!)
Sorry, I will need to return them. They do not fit well. The rise is too short and they are too tight. The last pair I bought of the same style and size which still fits me was great. I will try to reorder and see if it was simply an isolated problem.
