Like the look, nice and dark, they have a dressy look. The legs are a bit too full in the back. I am 5'2" and the petite ,after washing a few times, may be a bit too short. They have the style of better made jeans in the late 80's. I have a small waste and low jeans are very uncomfortable. These hit the right spot and make me feel dressed for every occasion .
I searched for a pair of high waisted Jeans for a long time and these are Perfect. The low ride ones that I have been forced to buy (because they are the only things out there) are awful looking. Even the ones that say "sit on waist". I am always pulling them up. I purchased these and will be getting more. They feel good on and make me look Great.
The first time I wore these jeans everyone complemented me on how nice they looked. They even felt better than they looked.I liked the fact that they were soft and yet had a solid feel.I am short and they were just a tad long but I just cuff them up a bit.. All of LLBean clothing is great and I will be purchasing these again/
high quality jeans, made with lasting colors,strong cotton fibers. I am 5'2"and weigh 120 pounds. since I do not like feeling stuffed, i mostly wear,skirts,and comfortable slacks made of soft fabrics .such as knits. i tried a petite #8,and a10, i do not like the way i look and feel good in either,but it may be that i am not used to wearing tight,stiff cloths. I recommend these jeans to women who are used to jeans,they look like any other much more expensive jeans to me. regretfully i am returning them.
one more thing: i found them not as soft as described. but again it may be my lack of experience with jeans.
