Great fit, no gap at the back of the waist. I bought two pairs, 12 and 14 medium tall. Just the right length, the 12s are for looking great, the 14s for long days that need a little more comfort! Can't wait for some lightweight, light colored, not-stretch fabric in the same style for spring.
Just like with my other "old favorite" items I believe this item has changed too... I bought two pair of these jeans about 5 years ago, then recently ordered the same jeans as my old ones were wearing out. Although you say only the name has changed (used to be the "classic" fit) I believe the fit has as well. This "same" jean is now too baggy in the upper thigh just below the crotch. I used to use these as casual dressy, but the new fit looks just too baggy in the thighs. I think I'll be sending them back. I just wish some things didn't change!
