I have been an advocate of these jeans for years; the quality of these jeans are incredible. Most jeans for women/misses you buy today are light weight stretch jeans; however, if you are looking for a good quality working jean, you will find it in L. L. Bean's Double L jeans - simply, they are made to last and are able to do heavy work. The only thing L. L. Bean could do to improve this jean, is to make the Traditional have a boot leg cut!
Thrilled to find old-fashioned comfort, quality and looks of cotton denim -- not the toxic-scented modern stretch fabrics that compromise dependable fit. Their well cut waist into hip area encourages me to drop a few extra waistline pounds. They are not sloppy nor are they ridiculously tight. On all counts, they are top quality and stylish, so much nicer than stretched out chemical denim, Love them for hiking through brush covered hillside trails, for temperature adjustment on windy days and with a cool sweater and sandals for summer casual "dress up."
I have found no other cotton denim jeans. They are great for hiking for their protective ability and breathability. Best find in quite a while.
I need jeans to sit below my waste and with some stretch. The color was perfect especailly for summer. I've bought other jeans from LLBean and they were fine. Just not these. I'm a 10 Petite and 12s are just to big for me.
I've looked for years for a jean that fits my body type and preferences. I like above the waist and snug (not tight) fitting at the hip and butt. These jeans are the perfect fit. Snug enough to fit but still let me breathe; above the waist so that when bending, I don't look like "Joe the Plumber".
