Thanks L.L. Bean for bringing back the Traditional Fit Jean. They sit higher on the waist than the original fit jean and are the only jeans that I can find that actually fit. You quit making them for a while and the original fit was not the same. I now have four new pairs which should last a while.
I ordered a pair of the Traditional jeans and a pair of Straight Leg jeans to replace the ones I have. The ones I have are size 8 and have become a little snug. I ordered the new ones in size 10. The new 10's are tighter than the old 8's. I checked the tags to make sure they were the same style, and they are. I literally cannot put on one of the new size 10s; it is smaller than the old size 8.that I was wearing yesterday. I have seen several reviews similar to this one, all posted within the past 8 weeks or so. It would be nice to know if this was a bad batch, or if LL Bean has actually changed the sizing.
I have lamented the popularity of the hip hugger and low rise jeans. I have a body type that finds the low rise styles very uncomfortable! I have been looking for something that sat AT the actual waist and covers my belly button. I also don't care much for lycra in denim either. I grew weary of putting on jeans that fit in the morning, then by the afternoon I was having to pull them up because they "grew". So I did an online search and found that LLBean may have what I have been looking for! Guess what? Unlike U2- I finally found what I was looking for!! These jeans are fantastic!! However, after reading some reviews, I did order them a size larger than I normally wear. I won't be vain if I can get a great fitting pair of jeans!! They are made of a sturdy denim have sturdy construction as well. I'm planning on buying more as soon as I get paid!!
