I am very glad and grateful that LLB still makes jeans that are not stretch fabric. Thank you. However, the fit is not like it used to be. I have tried many of the styles and sizes but unfortunately can not find a pair that fits like the old classic straight leg jeans. I tried a size larger in this style, the waist is too tight and the legs too baggy even though this is the fitted style. Please bring back some of the older realistic sizes and fits before my current jeans are completely in shreds!
i took my measurements, then called ll bean because these jeans seemed like they were going to be way too big. they assured me that the sizing chart was correct, and that these jeans were fitted at the waist and hips. i remeasured myself, then ordered what the chart told me i should wear (which was 1-2 sizes larger than my normal size). when the jeans came, they were huge! i returned them.
I loved the Double L traditional jeans, and have been buying them for years (decades), and would have bought them for the rest of my life. I cannot find any jeans anywhere else that fit me so well and are so comfortable, and they are one of the only jeans left that are 100% cotton with NO spandex (I refuse to buy jeans with spandex - it is an awful material to put in good old jeans, and guess what, you can still find MOST mens jeans do NOT contain spandex. Whoever got the idea that ALL women want spandex in jeans?). Unfortunately in regard to the Traditional Double L jeans that I love, LL Bean made the bad decision to discontinue Traditional Double L jeans in TALL. If I can't buy these jeans from you in the size/length you carried for decades, I won't be back as a shopper for anything else, I'm just that upset with you for discontinuing the size I need.
