I needed something to keep me dry when I walked the dogs--this jacket is great. It has great detailing, keeps you dry, and is light weight which makes it easy to pack. Worth every penny!!!
While this jacket is waterproof as advertised, it is not breathable. It would be ok to wear sitting in the rain, but if you hike in it, you will soon find yourself steaming. It has no vents. so heat and moisture build us inside the jacket.
Could not believe I was cool and dry walking my dogs on a muggy rainy day. My old rain jacket made it feel as if I was in a sauna. LLBean's rain jacket is great and I love the hood design, it keeps my glasses dry.
This is a great item to have with you all the time. I carry it with me when I ride my bike. It is lightweight and easy to store anywhere. The quality and fit are amazing for the price. I stood in line, outside in the rain to buy tickets, 5 1/2 hours, and stayed dry. No leaks or soaks. Hung it to dry in the bathroom and in 1 1/2 hours was ready to wear again. Love it!!
